Welcome!
I'm a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Department of Philosophy at Western Michigan University. My interests largely center around the history and philosophy of science and philosophy of physics. Specific topics I am curious about are 17th and 18th century natural philosophy (esp. Newton), the nature of scientific explanation/realism in physical unobservables (e.g. dark matter/energy, the quantum state, etc.), and the history of spacetime and gravitational theories. I'm also interested in public engagement in science, teaching pedagogy, and feminist philosophy of science.
In my free time, I like to hike around Michigan (especially in the winter), stargaze, and read outside my academic interests, such as on art and architecture history, for example. I also have a small (yet growing) antique telescope collection. To those who may be interested in WMU's graduate program, feel free to email me with questions!
